Firearms officers were deployed to addresses in Earl Shilton and Stoney Stanton on Tuesday (10 February) following a report of a man being threatened with a firearm in the town.
Leicestershire Police confirmed that the incident began with a report of a man being threatened in Heath Lane, Earl Shilton.
As part of the investigation, a vehicle was stopped in Stoney Stanton, and officers attended two properties — one in Long Street, Stoney Stanton, and another in High Street, Earl Shilton.
Charges
Following the police operation, two men have been charged:
- Gareth Warland, 44, of High Street, Earl Shilton, has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
- Kierell Woollery, 27, of Victoria Road, Stechford, Birmingham, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and possession of criminal property.
Both men are due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday 11 February).
Court Proceedings
The individuals named have been charged with offences and the case is now subject to court proceedings.
