The Crescent’s newest venue has officially opened its doors, bringing something entirely new to Hinckley’s town centre.
Pool lounge Ballers welcomed its first customers on Wednesday, December 17, becoming the first venue of its kind to set up shop in the popular precinct. The new lounge aims to be a vibrant hub for sports enthusiasts, offering pool and darts facilities alongside refreshments and live sports coverage.
Ballers is located in the council-owned Block C of The Crescent, positioned between Wildwood and Cineworld. The venue will host regular pool and darts tournaments, tapping into the growing popularity of both sports across the region.
Co-owner Adam Dean, who grew up locally, said the idea was born from a clear gap in the town’s leisure offering.
“As locals who grew up in Hinckley, we’ve long felt there was a real need for a venue dedicated to pool and darts enthusiasts. Both sports are currently experiencing a surge in popularity, with regional leagues proving hugely competitive,” he said.
He added that The Crescent was the ideal location for the new business.
“We chose The Crescent because we believe it’s unbeatable as a location. It’s modern, well-connected, and easily accessible, with a bus station right on the doorstep, a train station just around the corner, and 550 car parking spaces available on site.”
Leader of Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, Councillor Stuart Bray, welcomed the opening and praised the investment in the town.
“It’s fantastic to see Ballers open its doors in The Crescent, bringing something truly new and exciting to Hinckley,” he said.
“I’m delighted to welcome Ballers and look forward to seeing it become a vibrant hub where people can come together, enjoy great company, and celebrate our shared love of sport. Thank you to the owners for investing in Hinckley and helping our town thrive.”
The opening of Ballers adds to the growing mix of leisure and entertainment options at The Crescent, continuing efforts to strengthen Hinckley’s town centre offer.
