Twycross Zoo has recently announced updates to its ticket pricing and parking arrangements, aiming to enhance visitor experience while maintaining essential infrastructure.
New Ticketing Options
In response to visitor feedback, the zoo has introduced new and improved ticket options that offer greater flexibility and value for families. Among these updates, a new Annual Pass Plus and a Conservation Membership have been launched, providing additional perks for regular visitors.
Price Freeze for 2025
A significant aspect of the announcement is that general admission prices will remain unchanged for 2025. This price freeze ensures that visitors can continue to enjoy the zoo without any increase in ticket costs.
Introduction of a Car Parking Fee
However, one notable change is the introduction of a £3 per vehicle parking charge, effective from 15 February 2025. Twycross Zoo has justified this decision by citing the need to invest £1.5 – £2 million over the next two years in essential car park infrastructure improvements. This work is deemed crucial to maintaining a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors.
Statement from Twycross Zoo
The zoo stated:
“This is a decision we have not taken lightly, but we truly hope you understand the necessity of these improvements.”
Exemption for Existing Annual Pass Holders
To accommodate current Annual Pass holders, the zoo has confirmed that they will not be required to pay for parking until 5 April 2025. However, they will need to pre-book parking spaces online in advance to secure free access.
These updates reflect Twycross Zoo’s commitment to balancing affordability for visitors while investing in long-term infrastructure improvements.
