New Bakery on Wood Street and Mill Lane Stores Reopening After Refurbishment

Independent bakery Darcie Mae’s, renowned for their “bespoke blondies and brownies,” has announced the opening of their first brick-and-mortar store in a former DIY shop on Wood Street.

Since their launch four years ago, Darcie Mae’s has primarily operated from Hinckley Market, various artisan markets, and through home deliveries.

The bakery hinted at this new venture in early June when they announced they had acquired the keys to a local unit. Yesterday, on July 6, they revealed the location on social media.

A spokesperson for the brand shared, “Darcie Mae’s is coming to Earl Shilton – we’ll be taking you along every step of the way. Follow to see the progress!”

The temporary shopfront cover, pictured below, indicates that the new store will also function as a coffee shop. In the meantime, it encourages customers to continue placing orders through their online store.

Dad, aka BossMan, has been twiddling his thumbs in boredom, but now he’s buzzing with excitement to get back to what he loves – serving our amazing community in his newly revamped, cute little shop. Come see the magic!”
