Pupils and staff from all 26 schools within the Rise Multi Academy Trust have successfully completed a joyous Santa Fun Run today, raising vital funds for Rainbows Hospice, the East Midlands’ only children’s hospice.
The festive event saw students and staff across Leicestershire and South Derbyshire lace up their running shoes to support the leading charity, which provides essential care for children and families across the region.
A Celebration of Community and Giving
From the youngest learners in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 6 pupils and dedicated staff members, the community rallied together with immense energy and enthusiasm. Participants ran, walked, and cheered each other on, showcasing outstanding teamwork and community spirit.
The event was hailed as a perfect demonstration of how local schools can collaborate to make a significant positive impact during the festive season.
Dave Ellison-Lee, Chief Executive Officer of Rise Multi Academy Trust, commented:
“The event was a wonderful celebration of togetherness across Rise. Seeing every school unite for such an important cause is inspiring. Rainbows Hospice provides invaluable care to children and families, and we are proud to support their work.”
