Multiple police officers and forensic teams attended a scene in Barwell this morning after a man’s body was discovered in the grounds of a Leicestershire school. Officers have confirmed that the death is being treated as non-suspicious.
The discovery was made at around 7.30am today (Thursday, November 27) on Townend Road in Barwell, near Hinckley. The location is the same road as Barwell Infant School, where both uniformed officers and forensic specialists were seen throughout the morning.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said:
“Shortly after 7.30am today, a report was received stating the body of a man had been found in Townend Road, Barwell. Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Police remain in the area as enquiries continue.
