A new bus route connecting Hinckley to Fosse Park is set to launch this summer, as part of a wider expansion by operator Arriva to improve public transport links across Leicestershire. The new LC14 service will offer local residents improved access to shopping, work, and leisure destinations, including key stops such as Sapcote, Stoney Stanton, Broughton Astley, and Enderby Park and Ride.
Starting from Monday, June 2, the LC14 will run several journeys on weekdays and Saturdays. Hinckley residents will be able to travel directly to Fosse Park without needing to rely on cars, with stops also including Aston Flamville, Sharnford, Cosby, Littlethorpe, and Narborough. The service is fully accessible, and passengers can use standard Arriva tickets or mobile app fares within the designated boundary.
Arriva said the new routes have been developed in collaboration with Leicestershire County Council to better meet the needs of local communities. The company is also launching three other routes connecting towns such as Coalville, Ashby, Loughborough, Witherley, and Measham.
Speaking about the new services, Jonathan Wills, Network Manager at Arriva Midlands, said:
“These new routes are about better connecting communities – whether you’re commuting, shopping or meeting friends, there’s a bus for that. We’ve worked closely with the council to make sure people have more reliable and regular options. We hope it encourages more people to choose the bus over the car.”
Hinckley residents eager to cut travel costs and reduce their environmental impact will welcome the additional connection to Fosse Park — one of the region’s busiest retail destinations. Full timetable information and route details are available via the Arriva website and app.
