Barwell Tip is now operating under new summer opening hours, the Parish Council has confirmed.
The updated timetable came into effect on Tuesday 1st April and provides extended access during the warmer months:
🕘 Opening Hours:
- Saturday, Sunday & Monday: 9am – 5pm
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 9am – 7pm
- Closed: Thursday & Friday
Part of the ‘Spring Clean’ Initiative
The change is part of Leicestershire County Council Waste Team’s ‘Spring Clean’ campaign, encouraging residents to make their spring cleaning more sustainable.
Here are some eco-friendly tips being promoted as part of the initiative:
- 👕 Donate or swap unwanted clothes rather than throwing them away
- 🛋️ Take reusable household items to your local rehome zone at the tip
- 🧴 Finish using up cleaning products before buying new ones, and remember to recycle bottles—but remove the trigger sprays first!
