Temporary Closure of Barwell Tip for Maintenance: Alternative Sites Available
The Barwell Tip, situated on Stapleton Lane , will be closed to the public for three weeks starting from Monday, 4th March, for essential maintenance and site improvements. The reopening date has not been publicly confirmed yet.
This announcement was made by Leicestershire County Council (LCC) via an update on their official Waste and Recycling Centre website. During this temporary closure, waste permits will remain valid at alternative sites. The nearest options are Lount Tip, near Ashby de la Zouch, and Lutterworth Tip in the Harborough district.
Lount Tip operates on Mondays, and from Thursdays to Sundays, opening from 9 am to 4 pm. It is located at Nottingham Road, Lount, LE65 1SD.
Similarly, Lutterworth Tip follows the same schedule and trading hours as Lount Tip. It is situated at Moorbarns Lane, Lutterworth, LE17 4QJ. Thank you for your cooperation during this period of inconvenience.
