Family doctor who served Earl Shilton for decades dies at the age of 93
A beloved doctor whose family were GPs in Earl Shilton for 70 years has died. dr Gillian Earnshaw was a very popular figure in Earl Shilton, who served the people and followed in her father’s footsteps.
Dr Gillian Earnshaw, previously of Hall Field House in Earl Shilton and former Stoney Stanton and Sapcote GP, has passed away peacefully at the age of 93 in the care home where she has been following the death of her husband, Dr Tony Earnshaw in 2012. The much loved GP is survived by her two sons, Jonothan and Tim. There will be a Service of Thanksgiving at St Simon and St Jude’s Church in Earl Shilton on Saturday 10th June 2023 at 11am and anyone who remembers Dr Earnshaw is welcome
